In some maps the Maus is still effective and good to use, maps full of rubble and buildings only, because of atgms. Use the panzerF line with 75mm guns, then pantherD along with tiger1 then stay at 5.7 for a while and play above that br when you got the kingtigers unlocked after that work until you got leopards, 10,5 kingtiger or atgms, these are the best choices in my opinion.

Germany, use only tanks with 75mm, 88mm, 105mm and 128mm guns, avoid playing with spgs, nothing beats a normal tank with turrent, as you progress if you go with spg players can make circles around you and shoot you with easy since spgs requires moving full body to shoot.Įven a jagtiger wich is the strongest one is now obsolete due to the atgms and heafts that melts everything. The other ammunition types you can research as "upgrades" (PzGr.40, HlGr.38.) are only really useful for specific circumstances where the standard ammunition fails to penetrate. This also happens to be the most powerful ammunition they can fire. Rot and similar ammunition as their first standard armour piercing ammunition. Most German tanks start with PzGr.39, PzGr.

Your standard ammo is your best friend! (German speciality, really) German tanks tend to have good gun depression, so they have a lot of potential for hull-down fighting. Depending on how far you can depress your gun (-> aim down), you can use wrecks, rocks, hills etc. This is where you can still aim and shoot at targets, but only your turret is exposed. A quick way to angle: Point the front left or front right corner of your tank at the enemy, then turn a little bit more of your front towards the enemy to better protect your side armour. It increases the effectiveness of your armour, and can make some shots bounce that would punch through your unangled front. Thanks! A few basics, especially for German tanks, but also work for the others in general: I still have decent plays anyway, but I'd like to learn if possible. I've never tried any, so, of course, I have no specialized knowledge.

Originally posted by Wyrd:Any decent guide/tutorial, written or video, that explains in-depth how to play? Often the default ammo type (for the Germans, specifically)which at least has some explosive in it is going to be better than APCR or AP in 99% of all situations. Lastly, don't simply go for the highest pen ammo you unlock. Oh, and make sure you have the death replays on and actually WATCH them to see where you were hit, from what range, and or why you got hit. It will show you the tank's weaknesses really quickly, and maybe it will suite your play style better. My suggestion is to just play whichever side you THINK is "OP" until you get to around Tier III. My largest killing streak so far was also with the JagdPz IV, and don't get me started on the JagdPz 38(t) and how bouncy it is from all sides.īrit tanks are some of the hardest to play because their ammo does not have explosive filler (on most tanks), so they have to aim a lot more carefully to make sure their shot/shrapnel cone hits key components. Good tanks at their tiers? Pz II, any tank with the short 80mm gun after you research HEAT rounds and learn2aim, Pz IV F2 (downright OP for the tier with that gun), most of the StuG's, etc, etc, etc, etc. If enemies are getting behind you often, then that's also a problem with over-reaching your opponent's position and exposing your sides. No tank is immune, especially if you do not flank or at least angle your armor properly to deflect shots. in this game will get 1-shotted if it's hit in in the right place. Germany has some of the best tanks in the game.Įvery. Originally posted by Illusionyary:It's just you.
